Buffalo Vascular Care is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). It is a premier full clinical vascular interventional practice specializing in image guided minimally invasive vascular and nonvascular treatments. Our practice has been serving Western New York since 2001. Our physicians specialize in cutting edge minimally invasive treatments designed to alleviate symptoms without surgery.
Our entire team works seamlessly together with your treating providers to offer you the effective patient-centric medical care. The Buffalo Vascular Care team provides consultation and procedural management at our outpatient facility located on Transit Road in Depew, NY. On-site accredited vascular lab allows our team to provide timely evaluations with Doppler/Ultrasound imaging for various conditions.

The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF) was established in 1980 to standardize and improve the quality of health care in outpatient facilities. AAAASF accredits thousands of facilities world-wide, making it one of the largest not-for-profit outpatient accrediting organizations. Physicians, clinicians, legislators, state/federal health agencies and patients acknowledge that AAAASF sets the “Gold Standard in Accreditation.”
Azher Iqbal, MD
Medical Director of Buffalo Vascular Care
Dr. Iqbal is a board certified and fellowship trained vascular interventional radiologist. He has more than 20 years of experience earning recognition as a Top Doctor in his specialty for over 10 years. His expertise is in outpatient minimally invasive treatment of various vascular and nonvascular conditions. Dr. Iqbal is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at SUNY Buffalo and teaches medical students during clinical rotations at Buffalo Vascular Care. During the course of his practice, Dr. Iqbal has hosted many training sessions on advanced endovascular techniques for numerous interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons within WNY and United States. He additionally chairs medical educational conferences annually in WNY. He is considered a leader in minimally invasive endovascular treatments. He has acted in advisory role to various medical industry engineering departments providing technical advice.

Blanka Heary, RPA-C
Clinical Coordinator
Blanka Heary, RPA-C is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and has been practicing medicine in Buffalo, NY since 2002. Blanka focuses on the importance of her patients’ health and treatment needs as well as communication with their other healthcare providers to ensure best treatment outcomes. She is dedicated to educating her patients on their medical conditions and treatment options allowing her patients to be well informed prior to making treatment decisions.
Blanka has been an integral part of Buffalo Vascular Care since 2009 team as a Senior Physician Assistant and Clinical Coordinator. Outside of her medical practice, she is as a guest lecturer at Daemen and D’Youville Colleges. Since 2009, Blanka has coordinated the VIA Foundation’s annual medical conferences where she has also lectured on vascular care. She is a member of Society of Interventional Radiology and the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society. Blanka is a graduate of Daemen College.

Erin Paone, RPA-C
Erin Paone, RPA-C has earned both her Bachelors in Heath Science and Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Daemen College. Erin is a New York State Registered Physician Assistant and is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. Her professional career includes prior experience in family medicine. Erin is dedicated to quality patient care. Patient education is a priority for Erin as it is important for patients to make informed decisions regarding their treatment. She looks forward to her career at Buffalo Vascular Care.
