Procedure
Radiofrequency Ablation
Venous closure procedure using heat. A thin tube (catheter) is inserted into the vein; heat through the tube is then applied causing the vein to close and blood is diverted into healthy veins.
How it works
A catheter is introduced into the vein and delivers radiofrequency energy to the vein wall, causing it to heat, collapse and seal shut.
