Job Overview
Buffalo Vascular Care is seeking a skilled Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our clinical interventional radiology specialty team. We are looking for that special individual with a can-do, team-player attitude who enjoys a challenge and wants to make a real difference in patient care. We will train the right motivated person to become part of our advanced endovascular and image-guided interventional team.
You will work one-on-one with our physician and PA/NP providers. Participation in various aspects of patient care can be customized based on your interests. The reward of seeing patients before, during, and after treatment is immeasurable for personal satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Be an integral part of patient care working directly with physicians and providers
- Perform vascular doppler and venous insufficiency exams
- Evaluate images for technical quality using PACS (picture archiving and communications system)
- Multitask and rise to any challenge to deliver optimal patient care
- Train to scrub in cases and perform other intraoperative roles as needed
- Maintain and develop department quality assurance standards
- Document accurately using MEDENT EMR
- Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships
Prerequisites
- Certificate of Completion of an Ultrasound Technologist program (required)
- Prior vascular experience — at least 1 year preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with MEDENT EMR preferred but not required
- Experience performing venous insufficiency exams preferred but not required
Ideal Candidate
- Ultrasound Technologist certification (required)
- RVT credential preferred
- 1+ year vascular experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Calm and effective in emergency situations
- Team-oriented with a can-do attitude
- Eager to learn advanced endovascular techniques
