Vascular Interventional Radiology is a clinical subspecialty of radiology recognized by American Board of Specialties. Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) uses minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance. Some procedures are done for diagnostic reasons only, while others are done for treatment purposes. Images obtained with Ultrasound, MRI, CT and/or Fluoroscopy are used for these procedures. Vascular Interventional Radiologists are board certified physicians who specialize in these minimally invasive procedures.

Insurance Information

Coverage policies vary from insurance carrier to insurance carrier and often offer varying employer specific coverage plans. Vascular interventional radiology procedures are typically covered by insurance carriers. Please contact your insurance regarding policies pertaining to your specific policy plan. Based on your insurance plan which you have chosen, you may be required to pay a copay or a deductible at the time of service. Certain insurance plans require separate co-payment for office visits and any ultrasound studies. This fee is determined by your insurance and is due in full at the time of your appointment. Payment may be in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Bounced checks will have a $25 bank fee in addition to amount owed. If you have chosen a deductible insurance plan, you are responsible for full payment until deductible is met. We will require down payment at the time of visit.
